About Jack

Hi I’m Jack,

I’m dyslexic, I really didn’t like school and school didn’t like me. I’m a very active learner who loves to get involved. When I started GCSE’s i started photography and did an IT degree called Cisco CCNA, it was very boring and dragged down the rest of my school work. Because I had so much work with the IT course I could never really engage with my photography and started blaming it for my stress. I nearly dropped it as I hated it, my teacher Viki Haines convinced me to stick with it, photography ended up being my highest grade that year.

As A-Levels came around I was still doing IT, and needed one more subject and I thought “what the hell ill do photography again”. The next two years of that course were the best years id had in school maybe even my life, I dropped IT to focus on my photography as I realised it what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I went to Gloucestershire University where I am currently enrolled onto Editorial and Advertisement photography.

During my second year I was diagnosed with an “Intention Tremor”, a neurological disease that makes me shake when I try and do something, such as hold a camera still. But I will not let this stop me, my goal is to prove to all who have the world against them that they CAN do it.
